Over 600 participants from research, business and politics discussed keynotes, specialist sessions and practical examples on digitalization, cybersecurity and energy storage for two days – with the aim of advancing the energy transition in the region in a digital, sustainable and networked way.
In our series "Meet the Team" we introduce you to the staff of the EIZ – today Prof. Dr.-Ing. Georg Möhlenkamp. He heads the High Power Grid Converter (HPGC) Lab at the Energy Innovation Center (EIZ) of the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg.
2025 was a year full of creative ideas, exciting projects, and shaping the future together with strong partners at our side for the EIZ. Our digital advent calendar shows how diverse our work is: behind each door you'll find inspiration, technologies, and highlights.
With the fourth and final edition on December 09th, we brought the year 2025 to a fitting close: A fireside chat in Startblock B2, which brought founders and students together in a relaxed atmosphere.
Three EIZ teams impressed at the STAR*PARADE 2025: BARQ optimizes energy in electric vehicle fleets, ALT-C produces green methanol from modular container chemistry, and Grünpfeil combines biological solutions with precision agriculture. A strong signal for the Lusatia startup ecosystem – with the EIZ as co-organizer and driver of EIZ SPARK.
Three founding teams from the Energy Innovation Centre (EIZ) will demonstrate at the STAR*PARADE 2025 how research can be transformed into marketable solutions – for a sustainable energy, mobility and agricultural economy in Lusatia and beyond.
The visit of the UTN delegation impressively demonstrated how international knowledge exchange, university collaborations and innovative energy technologies can jointly contribute to a just, climate-neutral transformation.
